Vincente Farmers Corp is a relatively new urban farmer who has been operating his 5 acre operation for 1 year. This farm is located in Ontario, CA and engages with the community through selling his produce at farmer's markets within the IE. Bringing nutrient rich food from the farm out to urban areas is vital for individuals who have limited access to fresh vegetables.  With the new refrigeration van provided by this funding, the sub-awardee will decrease the amount of viable food wasted and increase the volume of produce sold to the surrounding cities. Additionally, this vehicle gave the sub-awardee the opportunity to increase their service area, attend more farmers markets and support communities that are located in food deserts.
