Southern California Agricultural Land Foundation (SCALF)

The Soil to Soul Initiative is an innovative urban farming project focused on combating food insecurity, empowering low-income farmers, and promoting sustainable, regenerative agricultural practices. By emphasizing collaboration, education, and community engagement, the initiative aims to provide underserved urban communities with access to fresh, chemical-free, regenerative grown food while fostering resilient food systems that benefit both people and the environment. Targeting the western Inland Empire, an area with limited access to high quality fresh produce, the project will not only address food insecurity but also empower community members with the knowledge and tools to grow their own food, promoting a culture of self sufficiency and community collaboration. Project objectives will include farmer support, community outreach, and ecosystem services and advocacy.
