Huerta del Valle - Community Education Supplies

Applicant: Huerta del Valle (HdV)

Summary: Huerta del Valle, a 2.5 acre organic urban farm located in Ontario, provides classes and workshops to both English and Spanish speaking residents throughout the Inland Empire on topics including home gardening, sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and more. Using SPF funding, HdV was able to significantly bolster their education programs with additional supplies needed to increase program capacity and accessibility. 

Outcomes: HdV was able to purchase the following for educational programming:

- Picnic tables for class seating

- Projector and screen for presenting programs

- Translation headsets to enable real time translation of classes into Spanish or other languages

- Whiteboard for classroom discussions
